The steps that must be taken when servicing the liferaft are:
- Lowering the Liferaft from its place or the handle on the ship
- Thorough inspection of the physical condition of the liferaft container. Visually, it can be seen that the difference in the appearance of the liferaft is still feasible and that is not feasible.
- Carefully opened the Liferaft to view and repair the items in the Liferaft
- Testing the feasibility of liferaft by filling pressure using a compressor. A decent liferaft can be filled with maximum pressure.
- Goods and tools stored on the liferaft are checked for their condition and expiration date. This includes making sure the CO2 tube used to develop the liferaft is still filled with full pressure.
- The next step after checking and the necessary replacement is complete, the liferaft is folded and repacked. The liferaft is folded according to the way the manufacturer has folded the liferaft and put the liferaft back into the container.
- Install it back to the ship handle in the condition as before.
- The final step after all procedures are completed, a certificate is issued stating the eligibility of the liferaft.
